Case Divisions

A division is in essence, the definition of your case.  The division allows you to create different policies for your teams or departments depending on what you need.

Divisons can be hierarchical, or flat, and different items in the system can be locked down based on a division.

Items that can be dependant on a category:

  1. States
  2. Activity types
  3. Link types
  4. Issues
  5. Outcomes
  6. Assets
  7. Custom fields
  8. Policies
  9. Communities
  10. Roles

Each item above can be created to only be a part of a certain division.

A good example of why this is useful is if you have separate teams supporting different assets, or require different fields or states, you can create a custom view of a case depending on the division.
